Nerd Surfing Anyone?

All righty! I already made a post about this on my main blog. I just thought I'd share it here as well. Nerd surfing or "nerfing" as people fondly call it is simple. It gives you additional 10% credits when you surf at the participating sites. First, you need to be a member of the sites below:

Next, you want to make sure that you update your profile with your CTP username. Then, you want to surf all 4 "Nerd" sites owned by TimTech LLC. How do you know it's activated? See the sample below...

The pair of glasses would all be in green. It says "You're good to go!" in the above example. That means you're surfing all 4 sites at the same time. Now, enjoy your "nerfing!" Oh, and watch out for the 'bonus' badge. You'd know when it's due for claiming.. just watch the pair of glasses. Well, that's it! Because life is simple... nerfing is the way to go! ^_^

OMG! It's Empire Avenue!!!

Empire what??? you say.. Yeah, Empire Avenue (the people's market). Apparently this is new and I know a number of people raving about it. I saw a twitter post by Brian Rooney (TrafficWave owner) but didn't pay much attention to it. I was thinking it was another affiliate program or the like. Well, I'm into a few already and I'm trying to focus on my stuff so I didn't pay much attention to it really.

Then I attend a TE Live session. For those who aren't in the know, TE Live is a conference where a number of Internet marketers get together on a regular basis (Mon - Fri 3 - 4 pm EST) basically to talk about everything under the sun. LOL!

Actually, it's the TimTech guys (Jon Olson, Tim Linden, Justin Ledvina, and sometimes Larry Dame) that run the show. Yup! It's a lot of fun and, at the same time, informative; but I'll reserve that for another day ( and perhaps another post! LOL!) So why did I mention it at all? Well, it was Jon and Justin who actually engaged a number of us into Empire Avenue. 

Well, these guys have the reputation of gurus, so one would naturally want to check out what it is they're endorsing. My, oh my, now I seem to have another one of those Facebook games that I used to have! Well, I still have maintained some of them, but lost interest in a lot since they haven't exactly been real life moneymakers for me.

At this time, I'm not sure if joining EA had been such a good idea. But I did manage to connect with some new people -- chatted with a couple of them via EA, got pitched to purchase some shares, got a new friend on youtube, got a community invite -- all within 24 hours of joining. Indeed! ^_^

Well, in case this translates to anything good for my Internet marketing efforts, only time will tell. And you'll definitely hear about it as I'm going to blog about it naturally! So till another update... enjoy your weekend! Remember to spend time with your family and loved ones! Ta-tah!

Brenda Broyles - the Queen of Social Surfing

If you're into Internet marketing and are quite active in traffic exchanges, esp. TimTech sites like ILoveHits and StartXchange, then you'd definitely know Brenda Broyles. I attended an Affiliate Funnel webinar for the first time earlier today. The main reason is that Brenda is the featured speaker. She's now officially known as "the Queen of Social Surfing." (Thanks to Tony Tezak, owner of TezakTrafficPower, for the title!)

I wrote this blog because I wanted to share what I already mentioned to Brenda earlier over skype. It was my first ever encounter with Brenda some months back when I started in the field of Internet marketing. Brenda most probably doesn't remember this, but she's the very first Internet marketer that I spoke with on chat when I was starting out. I can still vividly remember her first advice.. add a picture to my profile at ILH so that others will know me. Little did I know then that that was one of the important steps -- Branding Myself. And now, several months down the line, I'm grateful to people like Brenda who take their time out to help out and teach the newbies like me then. I applaud Brenda and people like her who truly care. For me, this is the mark of a true Internet marketer. 

With the increasing popularity of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, social surfing as we call it in the traffic exchange world won't be far behind. Personally, I prefer surfing at traffic exchange sites whose owners are visible and responsive. It would be difficult to do business with one who's hiding in an ivory tower. Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!

The line is a memorable and widely-quoted (or misquoted) line from cinematic history. (source: Stinking Badges) However, I'm not talking about police badges in this case. In my previous entry, I mentioned about the "badge frenzy" going on with the ClickTrackProfit program. When it was launched, it definitely sent everyone enrolled in the program on a massive badge hunt! A lot of us instantly became badgeholics! (Mind you, I'm still in denial at this stage! LOL! ) ^_^ I would admit that surfing for badges as an extra reward added zest to the tedious task of surfing for credits (or even cash for that matter). It's totally a different kind of reward, but somehow there's an excitement of sorts when one finds a new badge. 

I'm not sure where this badge hunting is headed or how long the frenzy will last, but at the moment, I'm enjoying it! Seriously! :D For this week, it's "the TimTech nerds meet The Zoo" week. Perhaps there would be other themes in the weeks to come. Somehow it's like a trade secret :P But you gotta hand it to the TimTech guys for coming up with something different. We all know it's not easy to be different sometimes. "Be different and be damned." Just like the famous line from Gone with the Wind. Well, I'm just a surfer for now, struggling to make a breakthrough and hoping to find something that works for me that will truly help me achieve my goal of establishing a residual income. And just like badge hunting, who knows where this adventure will lead, huh? Gotta go now.. I've got some more animals to catch.. LOL! :P See you next blogging time... Making Money with Twitter & More...

All righty, it's another Wednesday so there's update as well as another FREE E-book. What have been I up to? Well, I blogged about the Badge Frenzy at C.T.P. That's just started.. and it's bound to go on and on.. now, more and more are not just surfing for credits (or cash) but also for badges!!! These badges are so cool! Don't believe me? Well, here are some examples..

Nope, there's no stopping this for now.. seems a new trend has just started.. badge hunting is cool! For me, it adds fun to this otherwise tedious task of viewing ads and surfing for credits to promote my programs. 

The TimTech guys -- Jon Olson, Justin Ledvina, Tim Linden, and Larry Dame -- are truly awesome! I can't wait to find out more about what they have going and where this badge hunting trend is headed.. There are some yet unexplained and undisclosed information, like kingships (?!) Seriously guys, I want to know more details about this. 

So far, I've attended a few of the sessions at T.E. Live! I'm admittedly new to all this, but these networking sessions have so far been helpful and invaluable. It truly helps to "meet" and discuss with other online marketers. For those who haven't tried it, this community is really cool! I get to ask questions and learn from those who have been doing this thing for quite a while.

  

I'm proud of my latest achievements. These two badges are my latest finds -- the 1K badge at ILoveHits... and another one from StartXchange.. Hey, it doesn't happen every day! I don't usually surf that much in a single T.E. I just prefer to surf a few or a hundred or so in a number of different T.E.s. Don't ask me why, but that's just my preference. 

To top it all, I'm very near my goal of achieving "expert" level at CTP. I have reached 1K hits at six out of the ten featured T.E.s. The other four are a bit slow in the coming, but they're past half of 1K. Soon.. it's a matter of days now before I get there. Now that's something to look forward to. To top it all, last night I just won at Tezak Traffic Power. I think I won this once a long time ago when I was just starting out, but haven't won it again till last night. Incidentally, TTP is one of the featured T.E.s. at CTP.

At present, I'm exploring the potential of using Twitter to expand my online marketing venture. True enough, a lot of established and known marketers are already using this social media. My twitter account is less than two months old, but it has so far been helpful in connecting me with other marketers. Latest C.T.P. Kraze -- Badge Frenzy!!!

Yes, I must admit that even I have fallen victim to this latest kraze! (Spelled with a 'K' - inspired by Adkreator) I've been working hard on reaching expert level and I've been getting a lot of help from StartXchange friends, including my upline in ClickTrackProfit, Marie a.k.a. mfpsassy. However, just a few days ago, TimTech LLC guys -- Jon Olson, Tim Linden, Justin Ledvina, and Harry Dame -- have started giving out "codes" to redeem for BADGES!!! If you're a CTP member, just go ahead and log into your CTP back office and you'll see a link that says "Click Here to Redeem Your Code". Apparently these codes are scattered in all the TimTech sites -- StartXchange, ILoveHits, Sweeva, AdKreator. Once you've redeemed a code, a corresponding badge will appear on your CTP Profile page.. like the one that follows

As you can see, my page is a work in progress.  I think I got two more badges since I took a screen shot of my profile page above. Well, wish me luck on the badge hunting and now I'll get back to surfing to get to that Expert Level that I've been working on. If you haven't joined yet, please join under me. Promoting Click-Track-Profit

If you've been surfing traffic exchanges for some time, I'm sure you have come across a CTP (Click.Track.Profit). This is actually a downline builder put together by traffic exchange pros Jon Olson, Tim Linden, Justin Ledvina, and Larry Dame. Yup! Individually these guys have their own programs, but as of late have formed a merger - TimTech LLC. Anyway, I'm not here to lecture about that. I'm here to share a CTP Splash I've just made to promote my own link. I have yet to figure out how to put up said splash into rotation at the different TEs. I'm glad I have this blog where I could post it just to "show off" LOL!

Click.Track.Profit.  is a good program, esp. for beginners, those who want to have an idea how to set up or start up an online business or how to go about marketing affiliate programs on the Internet.
