Thinking Abundantly

I have always been fascinated with topics relating to self-help and self improvement. Perhaps it's because of my belief that one should not really stop growing and learning. We actually learn more once we've graduated from school. Hey, life is probably the biggest university out there!

Through the years of my existence, I have grown from a mindset of scarcity to one of abundance. I've learned somewhere that abundant thinking is a form of positive thinking. Yes, instead of focusing on the negative aspects, fill yourself with positive values. Doing so fills your life with abundance.

I hope you're not thinking that the abundance I'm talking about refers only to material wealth. It may in a way relate to money but views it more as a tool to achieve the finer things in life. After all, we all deserve it!

Abundance may simply refer to richness or over-supply  in all aspects of life. It's a life philosophy. Thinking abundantly is about changing how you view your personal ccircumstances so that you can change how you view the world at large. Instead of focusing on what you don't have, how about using what you do have as a starting point. Take it from there.

If you find yourself thinking negatively, stop yourself. Being aware is the start. You can learn and practice thinking abundantly. I know because I've been there, done that, but now chooses instead to look at the brighter side of life.

As my way of saying thanks for being a reader of my blog, here's a gift for you so you too can be on your way to thinking abundantly...

5 Lessons You'll Want to Learn

I was going through my inbox and came across one of my subscription emails wherein I signed up for how to become more successful. Anyway, the fellow was talking about a book he read and shared some lessons he believed were important.

And yes, these lessons have something to do with being wealthy. I mean, who wouldn't want to be wealthy? I'm pretty sure that everyone wants to have access to all the resources that every living being requires from life. But I digress.

So what are these 5 lessons?

Interestingly, these lessons are actually simple, but you do need to make a commitment to stick by them if you truly want a change in your life.

Lesson 1: Decide To Be Wealthy

Yes, it is a decision. Tell yourself daily that "Today I decide to be wealthy." Making this decision creates something in your mind that makes it really happen. It is the beginning of your journey.

Lesson 2: Take Responsibility For Your Money

Control your money or it will control you! Simply put, know how much you have, where you spend it and where it comes from. Make a list of you have to. It really helps to see things clearly. Get a feeling of your spending habits so you can make your money work for you -- not the other way around.

Lesson3: Keep A Portion of Everything You Earn

Decide to pay yourself. Save a portion of your earnings, but don't spend it other than for investment purposes. Make it a habit and pretty soon you'll have a sizeable amount.

Lesson 4: Win In The Margins
Strive to improve your income and limit your costs. Try not to get hooked on accumulating possessions that you don't really need and won't make you happy! Live as simple a life as possible. The less distractions you have, the better.

Lesson 5: Give Back

Abundance in any form must be shared. Imagine a world where everyone gives back. Wouldn't you like a better society where people have more than enough? Giving back is a way to spread good vibes.

Take note of these lessons. I suggest you start implementing them today! ^_^

I'm not much of a fan of TV reality shows. I only pay attention to them when the contestants are down to 5-6. For me, it's more fun that way. I have my own drama to bother about watching other people's dramas. LOL!

All I know is, Myrtle's my bet! ^_^
