My First Ever Purple Star from Squidoo

I was debating with myself as to where to write about the two good news from my site at Squidoo. I finally decided to split it up so both could get the attention and the exposure they equally deserve.

According to the top guns at Squidoo, a purple star is rare and is awarded to top notch lenses that have original content. I am therefore very honored to have finally received my first ever purple star! ^_^

It doesn't come much of a surprise 'coz I know that I work hard on making all my lenses as complete and informative as I could. I don't just create lenses for the sake of doing so. A lot of the content that I write I feel a connection to. That way, writing becomes such a breeze and an enjoyable feat.

True, I want to earn extra income from my Squidooing, if there is such a term indeed. But I also feel that I have to provide content that is helpful and useful. That would involve preparation as well as research. So it does take me some time before I am able to complete a lens. 

I joined Squidoo way back in July, it's actually two months ago to this date. And I'm so happy that I not only graduated from RocketSquids bootcamp, but that to date, I have around 36 lenses.

I'm still going to be working on some. If you like writing about any of your interests, then I would love to invite you to write for Squidoo too. The Year That Was...

I started doing online marketing a year ago. In this first year, I must say I learned a lot. Naturally, there was a lot of trial and error during that period. I have joined a few programs, that although sound, are not really working out for me. :(

In one program, I even joined a huge team that promised to give me ten down lines. With a team working together, I thought what could go wrong? Oh boy,  I was not right.! Apparently being a huge team has its downside too! LOL! ^_^ You can't say I'm program hopping as I've waited a year to really give the program a shot. But it has hurt me financially already as I'm investing in a tool that has not given back any ROI. Boo-hoo!

In another occasion, I relied on other marketers' judgment and joined a site they promoted with zest, but one wherein I had qualms on. I did promote with gusto, but the program went down as program owner wasn't quite capable of running it. Boo-hoo-too!

I've tried another one which is a cycler that cycled quite well the first few months I was on. From one position, I now have seven positions. Unfortunately for me, some members seemed to have bled the program dry. I haven't cashed out and now it has gone to sleep. I'm still waiting as to when it will start cycling once again. Boo-hoo-hoo!

Now on my second year, I've decided to cut down on some expenses. For one, I now have my self-hosted site. Since I like blogging and maintaining my site, I'm making that my priority. Fortunate for me, my site's hosted at GVO. Just recently they launched GVO Host Then Profit -- a sort of starter package for online marketers. Ah, my horoscope for today. I must admit it entertains me so that I've subscribed to receive it daily via my twitter account. Yup! I found twittascope on twitter. What I find amusing is that there are times when it very closely reflects my thoughts for that particular day. Sometimes, it gives me really good advice, esp. when I'm stumped. But don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those people who would be relying completely on horoscope before living my life. LOL! ^_^ True enough I'm a bit more reflective today.. been thinking of my goals in what I do.. I've come up with this goal as far as my online marketing ventures are concerned -- maximize earning potentials and minimize operating costs! ^_^ Perhaps it's truly time to reevaluate the programs I'm currently promoting.. choose the path I wish to take.. be more focused and definite in my steps.. I may after all be closer to success than I think!

Ka-Ching Ka-Ching! ^_^

Ahhh the sweet sound of money... indeed! LOL.. ^_^ Who doesn't like it huh? Well, I'm into Internet marketing to build a steady home-based income for me and my family. On top of that, I've always dreamed of working for myself. It's not all about money, true, but I do need to earn some somehow to keep going. I've a long journey ahead of me. Every day is a learning experience. I truly enjoy the challenge and love the fact that I'm self-motivated in doing what I'm doing.

Before I ramble on and on, there's a reason for this post really. Yup! The clue is the title.. ka-ching! ka-ching! the sweet sound of money.. reminds me of the cash register.. making the sound as each sale is punched in. LOL! ^_^

I haven't done a blog on payments received in awhile. So now is a good time to do so again. Anyway, I want to start off with this cool profit sharing safelist or mailer -- SOTAM (State of the Art Mailer System). Yup! I joined under a friend as it comes highly recommended. I read about the profit sharing part wherein you'll need to read at least 75% of the mailer ads sent out to be eligible to receive anything. I qualified and was pleased to automatically receive $1.26 to my account. ^_^

I truly haven't seen a cool program as SOTAM. So join today in case you're not in yet. Plus, they have implemented something new this week called Time-Bonus Ads. If you have your own site, just add a widget on it and promote. SOTAM is the first mailer that had paid me! WooHoo!

I also got to cashout from this other PTC site I have. It's the sister site of InfinityBux, called TVIPTC. I've joined the site since around September of 2010. You see, with PTC sites, sometimes getting paid is uncertain. LOL! I've actually stopped jumping in to join new PTC's. Some don't last very long and I just don't like losing anymore potential earnings. Anyway, I finally got to cash out $4.76 from TVIPTC. Yey! I'm just happy it pays like its sister site. ^_^

Another PTC that paid me recently is LinkGrand.It has Billboard ads that you click through and visit daily. There's a monthly prize of $50 for those who view the Billboards regularly. Two winners are usually chosen and split the winning, so each one gets $25. Being a consistent clicker pays off as I was lucky enough to be chosen as a winner! Yipee! ^_^

Roll up my game plan, form a budget, invest in the right tools, engage in social marketing, and just continue to focus on my goals. Work.. work.. work.. but hey what's different? I like the work that I do. It's not easy, but I'm the boss of me. And just like what Confucius said, " Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."

Changes at Ad2million - For The Better???

I joined this program more than 100 days ago. I must admit I got curious because I was indeed looking for a feasible and viable program to invest in. Then I came upon an ad from a familiar name endorsing this program. I normally do not just jump in, but I had this strong gut feel that this could be a program I'm looking for. So I emailed my sponsor to inquire more about it, and I got a totally good response. Now that's another plus point -- it added to the deciding factor of whether I should give it a shot or not. Well, I did and the rest is now history.

So fast forward to the present... I truly like Ad2million because it enabled me to earn even without a referral. We all know that's one difficult challenge in Internet marketing.. recruiting sign-ups. I'm rather a conservative investor so I only purchased one position which cost me $10.00 plus AlertPay fees (totaled $11.65). One position earns you $0.20 a day. It is truly cool as within 50 days, I was able to re-purchase another position that increased my earnings by another $0.20 a day. Well, I still continues on to today wherein I now have a total of 5 positions, each earning 2% daily.

I do understand that programs such as this always encounter problems when program owners aren't able to plan financial well to ensure that the program continues to earn and not bleed dry in the long run. A few changes have been implemented in the last few months. Initially, there's the mandatory re-purchase for those who are withdrawing their earnings. This way the program is secured in that 50% of cash outs are being put back in.

Today there's another round of changes.. 

Right, so now ad positions purchased would expire after 180 days. Then there's the adjustment in computation based on the age of the purchased ad position. To simplify matters, I came up with this computation for a single ad position:

1 ad position($10) x 2%    x 60days = $12.00

                           x 1%    x 60days =  $ 6.00

                           x 0.5% x 60days =  $ 3.00

                                                       -----------

                                                        $21.00

Well, earnings have been cut tremendously for sure, but under the circumstances, it seems I can still earn under the new policy. Besides, I'm in for the long haul. I for one would want the program to continue on for many more years. The future remains uncertain. We can only make informed choices and hope for the best. LOL! ^_^

All righty, this is a real quick post. Just wanted to share these small but otherwise well worth winnings from a traffic exchange - TezakTrafficPower - and a PTC - ClixSense.

Promoting Myself

Admittedly, this is a very important part of affiliate marketing. We have all read it often enough. "The money is in the list!"  Yeah but how do I build THAT list?! This is truly a challenge for all involved in Internet marketing, but more so for newbies like me -- I've been doing this for under a year. There really is so much to learn and so much to build!

As this blog is about promoting myself, how exactly do I do that? Well, first off there is this blog. I share online earning opportunities that I feel are worth sharing. I also share info on the different programs that have paid me. (Check out 'I Got Paid!' tab for details)

Then there's my website that I put up. It features the different programs I have and promote. You can click on my banner above to see the site. I keep it updated as often as possible.

That's the avatar I use for my facebook page. I added my main programs under 'Discussions.' Plus, I've written a few 'Notes' for those who want to start earning online. I add links on my wall from time to time, mostly when I've found programs worth checking out.

It's now the third month of the year 2011. Yes, I do miss blogging something original. The past few blogs I've released are mostly to promote new programs that I believe are worth joining. As long as the programs are free to start with, they're worth checking out. Upgrading is an option you can later on decide upon. Admittedly, there are too many options. If you have all the resources in the world, go ahead and join them all. But if you're like me and you're trying to make do with what you have, you naturally would be choosy and selective. For today, I'm just happy that I got credited by another of my PTC -- ClixSense.  Yup, I've been clicking at it for some time now. I haven't posted an update about PTC payments in a while. I guess I got caught up with the daily routine of marketing and promoting my programs. Well, I'm still hard at work and still waiting for the big break to come. PTC sites remain to be a good source of regular income for those wanting to earn extra income online. Amount earned may not be too big at the start but even a small amount can accrue over time. There are those who have strategies for PTCs that enable them to earn loads on a monthly basis. However, you may need to invest some cash at the onset. It's totally up to you whether you want to take that risk. I would suggest to test the waters first before investing in any programs, esp. PTC sites. I've seen a good number of them come and go. I've lost a few potential earnings too. Nowadays, I don't jump in right away when I see new PTCs, as some don't last after just three months or so. Just do your research and  ask around if you know some people who are already earning online.
