7-11 and Me

It's another one of those days when I just feel like writing about something random :p Well this topic isn't something I think about.. it's just one of those conveniences you're glad is available when you need it. I'm talking about a newly-opened convenience store right at the corner end of our street. It's a busy street and I pass by this 7-11 store on my way to work and on my way home. It's a good thing too 'coz I don't fancy worrying much about lunch the next day while at work. Anyway, I'm just glad that 7-11 has microwavable meals that I just buy and bring home to work the next day. I don't mind packed meals. It beats having to cook daily. :p

I remember the first time I bought a meal. It was the night before I was to start work the following day. I got a little excited 'coz of the many available choices of meals to choose from. I felt like a kid in a candy store eager to try out all the flavors of candies available. I made a mental note to buy a different meal for each day. I am in fact a bit excited every time I'd walk into the store to buy a meal. Even my officemates were eager to see what I've brought for lunch the next day. LOL! ^_^ Well it took a good three weeks before I ran out of new choices. By then I don't mind having to buy something I've tried before. And I'm still on the lookout for something new to munch on. Hmm... I wonder what I'd buy later... sometimes it just feels great to have something to look forward to... :D Ta-tah! It's been another blogging day.. till next time! ^_^

KC Concepcion

I'm Your Average Dreamer
I'm a True Escapist
Always Expecting a Happy Ending...
Maybe I've been watching
Too many movies
Maybe I Should Grow Up
And Stop Pretending
When I saw your face though
Everything was slow-mo
And I started wondering why...

Why Can't it be
Just a pathway full of roses
Leading to a sunset view
With the one you've always dream of waits
Why Can't it be
It was like a movie scene the way I fell for you
Only you, didn't fall
Now it's not like the movies at all
Woo... Oh... Ohhh...

Should I kept my heart shut?
Should I've been more patient?
Should I kept an eye on my addiction?
What was I expecting?
Did I have a vision of a scene, that only lives in fiction
Now I know that you are not
Gonna be my co-star
And I start to wonder why...

Why Can't it be
Just a pathway full of roses
Leading to a sunset view
With the one you've always dream of waits
Why Can't it be
It was like a movie scene the way I fell for you
Only you, didn't fall
Now it's not like the movies at all...
Just a pathway full of roses
Leading to a sunset view
With the one you've always dream of waits
Why Can't it be
It was like a movie scene the way I fell for you
Only you, didn't fall
Now it's not like the movies at all
Woo... Oh... Ohh...

Another week has passed and I haven't updated my blog. Ahh time flies by so fast. Now that I'm working, all I want to do when I get home is rest and watch a bit of cable or play my games on facebook. It's a bit hard to be thinking all the time. Sometimes I just want to go with the flow of life.. in a calm and relaxed mode.. drifting as the current flows.. mindless and thoughtless. Sure, that's not the way to go through life, but it just feels right sometimes. Here I go blabbering again. LOL! ^_^ So where is this blog headed? Beats me, I'd say. I just felt like pouring out my random thought.. guess this qualifies as such.. which is what this blog site is all about, right? :p

Well, my fave tv show had its season finale over the weekend. Thank God for the Internet as I'm updated with all the episodes. We get the show on cable but it's like only halfway through. I couldn't wait that long as the suspense is killing me. When I've gathered my thoughts, perhaps I'll blog about Supernatural and my thoughts on seasons past. It's a really cool show and I would love to watch it again and again. For now, like the other fans, it's hellatus season, till season six begins. Yup that's 'hell' and 'hiatus' put together. Good thing there are the dvd's I can rewatch time and again. :) Well, so much for thinking and blabbering. There goes another blog. See you again once another random thought pops up. Ta-tah! ^_^

The Fangirl in Me

Work has kept me from thinking much about stuff that I rarely write about random thoughts. But on occasions, I do think about what I'd like to talk or write about. I guess this is one of those occasions. I just felt like talking about my favorite tv character and how he brings out the fangirl in me.

I found this entry on wikipedia: "A fan, sometimes also called aficionado or supporter, is a person with an intense, occasionally overwhelming liking and enthusiasm for something. Fans of a particular thing or person constitute its fanbase or fandom. They often show their enthusiasm by starting a fan club, holding fan conventions, creating fanzines, writing fan mail, or promoting the object of their interest and attention."

OK, I must admit I have this intense, overwhelming liking and enthusiasm for the tv show Supernatural. I've liked it since the show started showing five seasons ago. But work kept me away from watching too much tv that I got to see only a few episodes of this show then. I did get the chance earlier this year to buy the complete set of the episodes up to the half of the current fifth season. I instantly became hooked on the show and followed it closely. I'm so thankful for the Internet that held loads of information on the show as well as its characters. Youtube and other fansites held lots of valuable pics, reviews, and infos that I had a swell time reading back and catching up on my now most favorite tv show of all time. And then of course, there's my most favorite lead character : Dean Winchester!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's going ga-ga over Dean (played by Jensen Ackles). In fact, my fascination with Dean's character poured over my interest to look up on Jensen Ackles as well who plays the character. Now I'm not quite sure whether I like Dean Winchester more or Jensen Ackles. LOL! One thing for sure, Jensen is such a superb actor that makes me love his character Dean Winchester more and more with each episode I watch. Now, Supernatural is down to its final episode for the fifth season. One more week and then it's gonna be a long wait again till sixth season begins. I'm not sure how I'm going to hold out till then but I guess I'm going to be spending lots of time watching reruns on cable and DVD's.

The pictures featured here are actually taken from the Supernatural site on facebook. They're spoilers for the season finale. Although I'm quite excited to watch the final episode, I'm going to be quite sad that it's ending. I've never enjoyed a show this much. Imagine a horror/action show that makes you laugh, cry, and actually feel good about the characters. At least there's season six to look forward to! Well then this isn't the last time you'll hear from me about my Dean. Well, I'm signing off for now to get my fix of watching reruns. Oh, and by the way, enjoy your Mother's Day celebration this weekend. A Happy Mother's Day to all moms out there, just like me. And yes, moms can be fangirls too.. well, sometimes.. esp. when you're talking about Dean Winchester :D

hy-brid (n.) Genetics. The offspring of genetically dissimilar parents or stock, especially the offspring produced by breeding plants or animals of different varieties, species, or races. (source:

My thoughts? Come to think of it, when I hear hybrids, I think of human-alien mix. I don't know why maybe it's 'coz I like watching re-runs of The X-files on cable. Seriously though, I thought of this 'coz of a yahoo article I've read on some amazing hybrid animals. I guess it's amazing that even nature can play tricks on us. Hell, real life is stranger than fiction. I wonder how many more hybrids out there exist undetected by us humans. These are some of the hybrids I find interesting.

A zebroid is the offspring of a cross between a zebra and any other equine, usually a horse or a donkey. There are zorses, zonkeys, zonies, and a host of other combinations.

Zebroids are an interesting example of hybrids bred from species that have a radically different number of chromosomes. For instance, horses have 64 chromosomes and zebra have between 32 and 44 (depending on species). Even so, nature finds a way.

Ligers are the cross of a male lion and a female tiger, and they are the largest of all living cats and felines. Their massive size may be a result of imprinted genes which are not fully expressed in their parents, but are left unchecked when the two different species mate. Some female ligers can grow to 10 feet in length and weigh more than 700 pounds.

A cross between a false killer whale and an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, wholphins are hybrids that have been reported to exist in the wild. There are currently two in captivity, both at Sea Life Park in Hawaii.

The wholphin's size, color, and shape are intermediate between the parent species. Even their number of teeth is mixed; a bottlenose has 88 teeth, a false killer whale has 44 teeth, and a wholphin has 66.

The offspring of a grizzly bear and a polar bear, a grolar bear is one beast you don't want to meet in the woods. Interestingly, unlike many hybrid animals on this list, grolar bears are known to occur naturally in the wild.

Some experts predict that polar bears may be driven to breed with grizzly bears at an increased frequency due to global warming, and the fact that polar bears are being forced from their natural habitats on the polar ice.
